The sophomores in the respiratory therapy program large community of sand and Technical College (BSCTC) completed the PALS (Pediatric Life Support) Tuesday 20 September workout.
The group has also completed the ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) in August Both teams were provided by Gina Lester, RRT-NPS, RPFT, education coordinator in the Valley pull the Regional Healthcare Appalachians. Lester is a graduate of the respiratory therapy program BSCTC 1998.
"This is an important step for our students to complete our program," said Melissa Skeens, program coordinator BSCTC respiratory therapy. "I am proud of this achievement, and I am equally proud that one of our graduates provides training".
Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of BSCTC, congratulated the students on their achievement.
"This is the next step in an exciting chapter in their lives," he said. "I am looking forward to returning graduate in May."
the second year of the program students are: Brittany Taylor, Kierstin Woods, Kristen Hall, Justin Robinson, Kendra Kidd and Indya Williamson.
