Last class of Respiratory Care students pinned

Last class of Respiratory Care students Pinned:

MOULTRIE - Eight students were recognized during the August 06 ceremony respiratory care setting in the Southern Region of the Technical University (SRTC). These students two semesters of prerequisite and four semesters course of rigorous professional courses, including a series of clinical rotations at local hospitals. Students who graduate at the end of the summer session of the former Moultrie Technical College and Southwest Georgia Technical College will officially graduates of these institutions. After the summer session, all students will graduate from SRTC.

"The faculty of the program is very proud of the class of 2015. Following the merger with Moultrie Technical College to form the new South Regional Technical School, these students represent the latest graduating class of Respiratory Care Southwest Georgia Technical Program College. Although this is a "bitter" opportunity for these graduates, the school merged provide interesting opportunities for future expansion of the respiratory care program to meet the growing demand for respiratory therapists who are national, "said director SRTC Respiratory Care program Tammy Miller, MEd, RRT, CPFT.

The students include Tanner Brooks recognized Pelham, Haily Culpepper Camilla, Jessica Henry Valdosta, Huckeba Margaret Coolidge, Kristine McLendon Pelham, Kyle along Thomasville, Thomasville Aubrey Taylor and Brittany Washington Moultrie.

Program graduates of science degree in applied associated respiratory care are eligible to take the certification exams through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) to obtain credentials respiratory therapist (RRT). In addition to the RRT credential, graduates are eligible to take a series of certification exams neonatal specialists including pediatric pulmonary specialist (NPS), intensive care specialist (CCS), the Technical Certificate lung function (CPFT) and registered technologist role ( RPFT). A number of universities offer advanced degrees in respiratory care in bachelors, masters and doctoral TSR seeking to pursue specialization in teaching, research and management.
